How long were you in the position: 1 year

In your own words, what is the purpose of that committee position:
To keep records of correspondence addressed to the club. In addition, minutes of all club meeting and executive meetings.

What did you learn during your tenure in that position:
The way meetings should be conducted. The more organised you are the more benefits you will reap.

What is your most memorable moment as committee member:
Cannot think of a memorable moment but always left each meeting with "food for thought".

What activities were you typically responsible for: Minute taking and keeping a register of attendance.

Was it worth it: Definitely yes, I would have stayed on the committee had it not been for a few personal commitments.

Give a five-point checklist for someone to succeed in that position on the committee:

  1. Commitment.
  2. Good listening skills.
  3. Organised.
  4. Attendance at all meetings.
  5. To have access to e-mail and the computer.
