Local Community Colleges

As part of the curriculum, most community colleges offer an introduction to public speaking course, which can be taken in a face-to-face classroom or online. The face-to-face course includes reading from a prescribed text, preparing speeches, presenting to students and the instructor as your audience, and receiving assessment and feedback from the instructor. This can be a great first training experience in public speaking.

Leaders Institute

Leaders Institute offers courses in public speaking around the country. Courses are offered both on site and as public classes. "Fearless Presentations" is a two-day presentation seminar designed to help speakers gain confidence and poise.
