Tamilisai Soundararajan is a President of the Tamilnadu Bharatiya Janata Party.[3][4] She was a National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party prior to this appointment. She is the daughter of Kumari Anandan,[5] senior congress party leader in Tamil Nadu.
Personal life
She was born in Nagercoil town on 2 June 1961,

Education and Professional Qualification
She pursued her MBBS at Madras Medical College, Chennai.[6] He pursued her Obsterics & Gynaecology at Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. She did a special higher training in Sonology and FET therapy in Canada.

Prior to political commitment she worked as an assistant professor at Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai for 5 years. She was a visiting consultant at many multiple hospitals.[7]

Political career
Soundararajan became interested in politics from childhood, having been brought up in a political family.[8] She was elected as a student leader during her studies at Madras Medical College. Though belonging to a leading, traditionally Congress Party family, she was attracted by BJP ideology and started working full-time for BJP.[when?] She served the Tamil Nadu state BJP unit in various capacities starting from South Chennai District Medical Wing Secretary in 1999, State General Secretary Medical Wing in 2001, All India Co-Convenor (Medical Wing For Southern States)[9] in 2005, State General Secretary in 2007, State Vice-President in 2010 and elevated as National Secretary, All India BJP in 2013.[10]

Media presence
She conducted a very successful programme of Oratory Skills for students and children’s which was broadcast in the Tamil Channel ‘Raj Tv’ for more than 10 years which had a very good TRP rating.[11] She conducted a popular weekly programme for women in ‘DOORDASHAN’ Channel which was aired as Magalir Panchayat (Women’s Court) for over 5 years. She Participated in several political debates with other political leaders in leading TV Channels including Sun Tv, NDTV, Times Now and various local channels.[12]

Soundararajan contested two Assembly elections and Parliament elections unsuccessfully in the past.[when?][13][14] She extensively campaigned in recent[when?] parliament and assembly elections across the state.[15]
