The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.

What you are basically doing there is tricking your brain by telling yourself “it’s only for 25 minutes” … which diminishes the resistance against that task you are procrastinating for and once you are in the flow of the working mindset this feeling of resistance for the task goes away. By doing this you are able to power through to get a shit ton of work done in minimum time required.
