Broken Capitalism: This Is How We Fix It (Audiobook Intro)

Is a Keynote by Next Week Possible? Find Out How.

This is the first of many audio clips that we will be posting on the AngelPay channel from Ferris Eanfar’s intensely engaging and delightfully thought-provoking audiobook, “Broken Capitalism: This Is How We Fix It”. (The paperback and eBook are available at Amazon: The full audiobook will be available from in a few weeks.)

Did You Know? . . . . Most authors don’t narrate their own audiobooks for various reasons. Usually, it’s because they don’t have enough public speaking and vocal work experience to deliver a pleasing tone and consistent rhythm for their listeners. However, early in Ferris’ career (his first job after school) he was an Associate Producer at Crawford Broadcasting Company (KBRT Radio), which gave him experience producing and voicing many radio commercials. Since then, he has accumulated years of experience speaking at various conferences and events. Ferris doesn’t claim to be in the same league as James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars), but we think he did a great job!

From Ferris: “Narrating an audiobook is a lot harder than many people realize. A typical book has 80,000 – 100,000 words and every word must be pronounced perfectly and every breath must be removed to avoid any distractions for the listeners. (Of course, there’s always a lot of editing involved.) The primary reason I wanted to do my own narration and musical composition is because nobody knows a book better than its author. An author adds an element of soulfulness that nobody else can replicate. For me, it’s always more meaningful when I listen to an audiobook narrated by the author because I know they’re not acting; they authentically feel and mean every word, which makes the entire experience more meaningful. For this reason, whenever possible, I prefer to do my own narration and musical composition.”
