Macron: Campaign has changed course of France

(23 Apr 2017) French independent centrist presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron praised his supporters on Sunday for a campaign that “changed the course of our country.”
With 34 percent of the vote counted, France’s Interior Ministry says that far-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen is leading with 24.6 percent of the vote followed by centrist Emmanuel Macron with 21.9 percent.
Macron, 39, has never held elected office.
