High School teacher Alina Małocha talks about how she uses TED talks as an educational activity in her school. She describes the benefits such as how it improves the public speaking and presentation skills of her students, of how her students are empowered by selecting their own content and how this is an idea worth spreading.

Alina a teacher trainer and a secondary school teacher of English with 20 years of teaching experience. Studied at Teacher Training College in Zakopane and University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, at the Faculty of English, majored in the Methodology of TEFL.
From 2008 till now, an English teacher in Romer Secondary School (I LO im. E. Romera) in Rabka-Zdrój, Lesser Poland. Her students are aged 16-18, ranging from A2 – B2 CEF level. A participant of many workshops, webinars and conferences (IATEFL, Spice-up, New Di-mensions of Philology, DOS), enthusiast of modern technologies and innovation in education.
