Toastmasters International (TI) is a USA headquartered nonprofit educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. Through its thousands of member clubs, Toastmasters International offers a program of communication and leadership projects designed to help people learn the arts of speaking, listening, and thinking.

The organization grew out of a single club, Smedley Chapter One Club, which would become the first Toastmasters club. It was founded by Ralph C. Smedley on October 22, 1924, at the YMCA in Santa Ana, California, United States. Toastmasters International was incorporated under California law on December 19, 1932. Throughout its history, Toastmasters has served over four million people, and today the organization serves over 345,000 members in 142 countries, through its over 15,900 member clubs.

Manoj Vasudevan, ACS, CL, is a leadership coach and management consultant with more than two decades of experience working with major multinational companies in Asia, Australia, North America and Europe. As a renowned transformational coach, he has coached C-level executives, senior executives, bureaucrats, management consultants, celebrities, U.N. diplomats, entrepreneurs and professionals constituting a clientele from 27 nationalities.

In 2015, Manoj won third place in the World Championship of Public SpeakingTM at the Toastmasters International Convention in Las Vegas. In 2012, he was among the top 25 stand-up comedians at the International Comedy Festival in Hong Kong.

He is currently the CEO of Thought Expressions and has spoken in 14 cities across the world with sessions that are eye-opening, engaging, energizing and entertaining, including successfully addressing an audience of 20,000.

Manoj earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering and his MBA from Imperial College London. He is also the author of the Amazon bestseller “Leadership Lessons from the Mousetrap.”
