Table topics conversation cards came to my attention when I was researching about Toastmasters' table topics session. Curious about it, I went and ordered the Original table topics edition and have been having heaps of interesting discussions since.

When you order the your game, you get a set of questions on pre-printed cards in a sturdy plastic container. Some people might be disappointed in the lack of sophistication ("its just basic thought provoking questions on cards"), but that is almost the beauty of it. You might have wanted to start a conversation with a random question to someone, but it can end up feeling forced or like being grilled. There are no rules to playing the table topics game, and there are no right or wrong answers. People use the cards in different contexts to start different conversations. Most of us have seen those TV game shows where they test how well couples or friends know each other by asking questions.
